2018 is an important year for THERMOVENT, due to the completion of its 40th anniversary. We celebrated this with a symbolic corporate trip with our partners in Sweden, namely the BENTONE - CTC plant, the manufacture of burners, boilers and heat pumps, and at the ESBE plant for hydraulic automation. In addition to the essential and training seminars and factory tours, we combined the experience of staying in beautiful Swedish nature.
The reason for choosing a visit to Sweden and not to another country from the European factories that THERMOVENT represents is because the company's inception in 1978 was the import and wholesale sale of the BENTONE and ESBE burners by Mr. George Lefas , founder of the company.
Regarding the journey, we first arrived at the Reftele of Sweden, ESBE headquarters, where we hosted a hotel - a brewery. We traveled through all production lines, one of Europe's most fashionable and factory-friendly factories. We had the opportunity to learn and discuss quality at all levels of vertical production and preparation of goods. The seminar also focused on the future design of new products until 2022, resulting in a sense of confidence for a strong future collaboration between THERMOVENT and ESBE for many years to come.
Over the next two days we were hosted by BENTONE - CTC, where the BENTONE seminars focused on further information on the new ERP regulations and the new generation of oil and gas burners with even stricter criteria for their low pollutant eco design. BENTONE burners are now synonymous with quality and new generation burners. We then saw the construction of CTC's "smart" heat pumps and heat pumps, and we attended the technical seminar in their testing lab where our partners were able to see evidence that gave CTC leadership due to their performance.
The stay in the next few days was at traditional wooden cottages in the Ljungby countryside, where we had the opportunity to relax, walk in the woods, paddle up late at the boats on the lake before us and of course enjoy a wonderful barbecue. We also traveled in a natural park with free bison and moose - the world's largest deer with a height of 2,10 m and a weight of 700 kilograms. We saw the Turning Torso, the tallest building in Sweden and Scandinavia (190 meters, 54 floors) the characteristic 90-degree windscreen rotation from the base to the top, we went for coffee in the old center of Malmö, and we passed the unique bridge - Öresund submarine tunnel that connects Denmark with Sweden.
All participants were very happy with this long trip, gaining knowledge and experience both from the ESBE and BENTONE - CTC professional culture, as well as from the natural environment and lifestyle in Sweden.
